There are a lot of good people here. [He means more than just at the party. Komaeda is fond of a few people he's met here. IT makes him worry though, because this place is not as harmless as it seems -- with things more than just a few hungry groping trees.]

Have you been in this place long? Ah... the city I mean, not the party. The party hasn't even been going for all that long, after all.

Mm, I have. Or... it feels longer than it really has been, maybe.

[She's been away from home for even longer than she's been here. There are still some days when all of this doesn't feel real, but they're few and far between, now; she's mostly come to accept that she won't be going back to Weyard anytime soon.]

...but I think we're all in for a pretty long stay.

I think that may be the way this place works. It's hard to keep track of time somehow...

Mm. Maybe so. But there are worse places to be. Even if this place has its dangers, at least everyone mostly has food and shelter. That's positive, don't you think? [That's... sort of optimism?]
