Exactly. Though I wonder if I should add weedkiller to my arsenal now...
[He's only half joking. OKay. In fact he's probably considering it quite practically. He's a bit broken after his stay in Haven. He should have expected homicidal plants. He has run into a few before, just, not here. ANd not quite like this.]
It was definitely lucky that you happened along. [His luck at work again? He wonders.]
Other than having my hand stolen, it's going very well! I'm not used to fancy parties, so I'm a little out of place, but it's a good atmosphere anyway. Are you having a good time?
[If they've done it once, they'll probably do it again. As long as nobody here starts turning into trees themselves, weedkiller will be fine. But imagine taking out a homicidal tree and finding out it was one of your friends... that would be unfortunate.]
I'm not really used to this sort of thing, myself. [She's seen plenty of formal gatherings in her time, but granted, they'd all taken place when she was super butthurt about being someone's captive, so it wasn't like she actually tried to enjoy herself.] But it's fun to be here now. Especially because of the people...
[A chance to get to know the others who are stuck here with them is good, and if a touchy-feely plant is the worst thing they face tonight, she'll consider this a success.]
There are a lot of good people here. [He means more than just at the party. Komaeda is fond of a few people he's met here. IT makes him worry though, because this place is not as harmless as it seems -- with things more than just a few hungry groping trees.]
Have you been in this place long? Ah... the city I mean, not the party. The party hasn't even been going for all that long, after all.
Mm, I have. Or... it feels longer than it really has been, maybe.
[She's been away from home for even longer than she's been here. There are still some days when all of this doesn't feel real, but they're few and far between, now; she's mostly come to accept that she won't be going back to Weyard anytime soon.]
...but I think we're all in for a pretty long stay.
I think that may be the way this place works. It's hard to keep track of time somehow...
[He's in the same boat. He's been pulled from his home for quite a long time now, a place before this, and the island simulation before that though that's probably close enough to call home.]
Mm. Maybe so. But there are worse places to be. Even if this place has its dangers, at least everyone mostly has food and shelter. That's positive, don't you think? [That's... sort of optimism?]

[Assuming none of them vanish.]
